How Wataview handles website inquiries, guest details, and site services.

Wataview Vacation Rental (“Wataview,” “we,” or “us”) operates this website for information about the property and guest stays. This policy explains how information is handled when you browse our site, contact us, inquire about a reservation, or send us menu-planning details. This policy describes the website and related guest communications. The terms of a reservation are explained separately on our Rates & Reservation page and in the terms confirmed for your booking.

• Contact inquiries: your name, email address, subject, message, and any information you choose to include.
• Reservation inquiries: name, email, phone number, requested arrival and departure dates, number of adults and children, and your message.
• Guest menu planning: your name and email, stay dates, meal and provisioning preferences, celebrations, and any food allergies, sensitivities, or dietary needs you choose to tell us about for your group.
• Other communications: details you send by email, phone, or other channels when arranging or managing your stay.

Please share only details needed for your request. If you provide allergy or dietary information about another guest, make sure you are authorized to share it. Do not send payment-card numbers or passwords through these forms.

Our web host, WordPress, and security services can process technical information needed to serve and protect the site, such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, referral information, dates and times, and security events. Authorized site editors who sign in also use WordPress authentication cookies.

Cloudflare Web Analytics runs a performance and page-view beacon on the site. Cloudflare says its Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage to measure usage or fingerprint individual visitors. We use the resulting site-level reports to understand traffic and performance. Read Cloudflare’s Web Analytics information.

We use the information described above to answer questions; respond to reservation requests; arrange and provide guest services, meals, and provisioning; communicate about a stay; operate, troubleshoot, and secure the website; understand site performance; maintain business records; and respond to lawful requests or disputes. Food allergy and dietary details are used to plan the requested guest services and may be shared with the staff preparing them.

Our contact, reservation, and menu-planning forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish visitors from automated submissions. The widget may operate invisibly. Cloudflare processes technical signals such as IP address, TLS fingerprint, user-agent header, site key, and the associated origin for bot detection and service improvement. Our pages currently include an embedded Google Map. Loading or interacting with it connects your browser to Google, which may process information and use cookies under Google’s Privacy Policy. Our guest guide also links to restaurants, tour information, and an external Isla Bonita Guide Map. When you choose an external website or open that interactive map, its operator’s privacy practices apply.

Cookies or similar browser storage may be used for essential site administration, security, and third-party embedded services. You can manage cookies in your browser, although blocking them may affect sign-in or embedded features. Cloudflare’s Web Analytics beacon itself does not use cookies or local storage for measurement; other services described here may have different practices.

Information is available to people who need it to answer inquiries and provide a stay, including Wataview management and relevant house or kitchen staff. The site also relies on service providers for hosting, email delivery, website security, and analytics. Contact-form submissions are delivered by email and a copy is stored in the site’s WordPress administrative database; other forms are delivered through our email setup. Cloudflare receives the technical information described above. Google receives information when its embedded map loads. We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety. External restaurants, tour operators, and map providers receive information under their own policies when you visit their sites.

We keep inquiry and guest-service records in email and, for contact-form submissions, in WordPress while they are needed to respond, manage a stay, maintain appropriate business records, or address a dispute or legal obligation. The time can differ by record and purpose; we have not published a fixed deletion period for these records. You may ask us about a particular record or request its deletion using the contact details below, subject to records we need to retain.

Third-party services, including Cloudflare and Google, maintain their own retention practices described in their policies.

We use access controls and website-security measures intended to protect the information we handle. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Because our website and providers may operate in different countries, information may be processed outside Belize. Service providers handle data according to their own terms and applicable safeguards.

You can choose not to submit a form and contact us through the other methods shown on the website. You can also control browser cookies and decide whether to open external links or maps. To ask what information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where required or permitted for legitimate business or legal reasons. Additional rights may apply depending on where you live.

This website is intended for adults arranging a stay. The reservation form asks for the number of children in a group; it does not ask for children’s names. Please do not submit a child’s personal details unless needed to arrange guest services. If you believe a child has provided information through the site, contact us so we can review it.
